Sungrow

Founded in 1997, Sungrow Power Supply Co. Ltd. is one of the world’s most bankable inverter brands with over 515GW installed worldwide as of December 2023 and on the energy storage front, Sungrow reported 10.5GWh of batteries shipped in 2023. With a strong 27-year track record in the PV space, with Sungrow products powering installations in over 150 countries.

Sungrow are innovators and possesses a dynamic technical R&D team which consists of over 5,372 employees. In 2019, Sungrow launched the world’s largest inverter factory. The company’s global annual production capacity reaches 140 GW.

In Australia, Sungrow is a leading brand, highly regarded by both end users and installers. Sungrow's products offer excellent value for money while delivering proven reliability. Independent review websites consistently rate Sungrow as a top inverter and battery system.

Sungrow's advanced inverters feature multiple MPPTs, allowing for installation on multiple roof aspects. The global maximum power point tracking feature, if required, improves performance on sites with shading.

Sungrow's hybrid and battery range is class-leading, delivering excellent performance and impressive oversizing capabilities. With Sungrow inverters and batteries, it's possible to oversize to manufacturers' specifications. Due to Sungrow inverters' substantial oversizing capabilities, we can install larger solar and battery systems on a single phase than previously possible (see our Parkside single-phase 20kW solar and battery installation video below).

Sungrow Hybrid Inverter Range

Sungrow's Hybrid inverter range is divided into two categories:  'RS' single-phase and 'RT' three-phase. Sungrow hybrid inverters all fall into the subclass of 'ADA' advanced model, which includes an energy meter and has multiple MPPT's.

Sungrow Battery Range
Sungrow offers two battery models, both utilising the safest Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells. These batteries are modular and expandable, with the primary difference between the two models being the module size (kWh) and the minimum and maximum storage capacities. Sungrow batteries come with a 10-year warranty. Due to the varying minimum sizes, the SBR battery is commonly used for residential installations, whereas the SBH is preferred for larger battery systems or commercial installations.
